Come and Try Outrigging

Beginners and non-members paddle session

New Paddlers wishing to "try" outrigger canoeing are able to come along to specially arranged beginners sessions. These are held at prearranged dates throughout the year, usually on a Saturday morning at around 8:00am. If you would like to attend one of these session, please contact us first to find out when the next session will be held, and to ensure your place.

Don't worry if you haven't paddled before as this session is for all levels of fitness and ability. Experienced paddlers will take you through the basics of outrigger canoeing and you can see first hand what all of the hype is about! We will need to ask you a few questions before you participate. For example, you must be a competent swimmer, and declare any medical condition before participating in this sport.
